QR code generator for counter stands, posters and business cards
Enter the address the code should open – usually your appointment or booking page. You get the QR code straight away and download it as PNG and as SVG, at the size it will be printed.
The code is made in your browser. Your address is never transmitted, never stored and never routed through an intermediate link: the code points straight at you and keeps working even if this page one day no longer exists.

What a QR code needs on paper
On a screen almost any code works. The codes that fail, fail on paper – too small, too pale, too close to the edge, or with no word explaining why anyone should hold up a phone.
Roughly ten times as far as it is wide
As a rule of thumb a QR code reads from about ten times its own width. So the stand on the counter (30 cm) needs only 30 mm, while the window poster somebody scans from 2 m away on the pavement needs 200 mm. The builder above checks this as you go.
Four modules of margin, and they count
A clear light area four modules wide has to stay free all around the code. Without that quiet zone the camera cannot find where the pattern begins. Our files bring it with them: do not trim it away and do not put anything inside it.
Dark on light, never the other way round
The modules must be darker than the background, not merely different from it. Pale colours on white, codes laid over a photo and inverted codes are the three most common reasons a camera finds nothing. The contrast of your colour choice is calculated live above.
Without a caption it gets scanned less
A black square tells nobody what happens if they scan it. Three words do: “Book an appointment”. Your caption is built into the PNG and the SVG so it cannot get lost when the image is cropped or moved.
Error correction is reserve, not quality
Levels L to H decide how much damage a code survives – roughly 7 % to roughly 30 %. A higher level needs more modules, and more modules mean smaller modules at the same printed size. H is worth it for outdoor posters; M is plenty for a business card in a folder.
Test with the phone your customers carry
Print the code at final size and scan it off the paper, not off the screen – in the light that actually falls on that spot, and from where a person really stands. The plain camera app is enough on both iPhone and Android.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The code carries your address directly and passes through no intermediate service, so there is no expiry date, no sign-up and no limit. You may use it commercially, print it and pass it on.
SVG for anything going to a print shop or being resized later: the file is vector and dimensioned in millimetres, so it stays sharp at any size. PNG for Word, Canva, social media and the office printer – we render it at 300 dpi in exactly the size you set above.
Not in the code itself: a static QR code carries the address inside it. Redirecting later does not call for a shortening service, it calls for an address you own – your own domain, or a booking page whose contents you change while the address stays put.
As a rule of thumb about a tenth of the reading distance: 30 mm for 30 cm at the counter, 100 mm for 1 m at the door, 200 mm for 2 m in the window. On top of that, a single module should not drop below roughly 0.4 mm, or printing smears the edges.
No. The code is computed in your browser, your address never leaves this page, and we record nothing. Once loaded, the tool keeps working with no internet connection at all – which is the simplest way to prove it.
And where does the code lead?
A QR code on the counter makes a promise: that at the other end there is a page where someone can genuinely book – with the right opening hours, the right services and no callback the next morning. That is the page our salon software gives you, together with a calendar, reminders and an address that belongs to you.
